Thomas Cole speaks at Annual John P. McGovern History of Medicine Banquet

Thomas Cole, PhD, professor emeritus and founding director of the McGovern Center spoke at the Annual John P. McGovern History of Medicine Banquet on May 16 at Hotel Zaza. Cole read from his book Old Man Country during the banquet, which served as the culmination of the History of Medicine extracurricular elective series supported by the McGovern Foundation and open to McGovern Medical School and Baylor College of Medicine students. Mary Kollmer Horton, PhD, MPH, MA, directs the series on behalf of the Center and medical school in collaboration with Baylor faculty. The course is expected to return in Spring 2025.
