How to Apply
Students interested in participating in the Medical Humanities Scholarly Concentration should submit an application via the Scholarly Concentrations Program system. Applications may be submitted beginning the Spring of the student’s MSI year.
For students who do not apply during their first year, MSII student applications are considered for enrollment on a case-by-case basis. Second-year students must complete the online application through the Scholarly Concentrations site, but it is suggested they contact the Program Director as well. Additional make-up activities may be assigned if the student has missed any program requirements.
On the application, it is recommended that students pay special attention to the “Personal Statement” section. Responses to these questions are important for us to understand the student as an individual as well as their goals and interests in medical humanities.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis by the Program Director. Enrollment is limited to 30 students per class, thus it is recommended that students apply early. Upon acceptance, students will receive an email from the Scholarly Concentrations system.
