The Texas Center for Facial Plastic Surgery Opens Its Doors to the Community
Houston residents attended an open house to meet the medical professionals and learn about services offered at the Texas Center for Facial Plastic Surgery. Led by chief of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery Tang Ho, MD, the center is a core division of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where Dr. Ho is an associate professor. He is double board certified in facial plastic surgery and head and neck surgery.
“We were excited to host so many members of our community and show them how we can help with their esthetic needs,” says W. Katherine Kao, MD, an assistant professor of otorhinolaryngology, who joined the department in 2019 after completing fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Miami.
The open house gave area residents an opportunity to meet Dr. Ho, Dr. Kao, and the center’s clinical services consultant and esthetician Sara Marcoux, who organized the event. Attendees also had an opportunity to meet representatives from Allergen, who shared information about Botox® and dermal fillers, and from ZO® Skin Health, the center’s new medical skin care line.
The Texas Center for Facial Plastic Surgery offers the full spectrum of facial cosmetic and reconstructive services, including cosmetic rhinoplasty; eyelid surgery; face, neck, and brow lift; thread lift; Botox, dermal fillers, and Sculptra®; hair transplant and hair restoration; PRP for facial rejuvenation and hair restoration; laser facial rejuvenation; microneedling; and chemical peels. Dr. Ho and Dr. Kao also have specialized expertise in skin cancer reconstruction, periocular reconstruction, facial reanimation after facial paralysis, microvascular reconstruction, facial trauma reconstruction, and functional rhinoplasty for nasal obstruction.
