“As a fellow in the UTHealth Houston Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship, you will step into a year of high-impact learning where your psychiatric expertise becomes a powerful tool in the legal environment. Under close guidance, fellows engage in forensic evaluations and contribute to expert reports while participating in a statewide mock trial alongside other Texas-based forensic psychiatry fellowships to gain firsthand experience across civil, criminal and correctional settings. Fellows collaborate with seasoned forensic psychiatrists and legal professionals while deepening their understanding through interdisciplinary seminars. This immersive fellowship equips fellows with the skills, insight and confidence to navigate the complex intersection of psychiatry and law.”
