Training Model and Evidence-Based Interventions

As part of the training model, LCSW supervisors will use intervention fidelity rating scales:

  • To rate LMSWs adherence to therapy standards for treatment interventions
  • To provide ongoing coaching for improvement
  • To enhance the fellow’s clinical expertise

LCSW supervisors review patient clinical assessment and outcome data with fellows on a regular basis to review treatment progress and plan future treatment. All clinical documentation of a fellow is reviewed and signed off by a clinical supervisor

All fellows receive the following evidence-based training:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
  • The Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Children and Adolescents (UP-C/UP-A)

Additional opportunities include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma and Grief Component Therapy (TGCT), and Multidimensional Grief Therapy (MGT) when available. Fellows will obtain all continuing education requirements as outlined by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council
