Ingredients
- 1 lb asparagus
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 2 Tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 ½ tsp ginger, grated
- 2-3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 ½ tsp honey
- 1 ½ tsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 Tbsp slivered almonds, chopped (optional)
Recipe Directions
- Wash asparagus, and cut or break off woody stems.
- In a small bowl, mix lime juice, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, honey, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Toast sesame seeds in a small skillet. Once toasted, remove from heat. Set aside.
- In a medium skillet, heat oil over medium heat until translucent, about 1 minute.
- Add asparagus, stir, and cook for 3 minutes. Asparagus should still be crunchy but should have softened slightly.
- Drizzle lime juice and sauce mixture over asparagus. Add in salt and pepper.
- Top with almonds and sesame seeds. Serve warm.
