Mentoring and Promotion Program (MAPP)
The Office of Administration and Faculty Affairs, in partnership with the Faculty Senate, has launched the Mentoring and Promotion Program (MAPP) at McGovern Medical School. This initiative connects junior faculty with senior mentors in track-specific groups, offering guidance on career development, promotion, research funding, work-life balance, and more.

Without Salary (WOS) appointments designate faculty appointments to individuals who participate in UTHealth teaching programs on a volunteer basis without remuneration (see HOOP Policy 189).

Visiting Professor Title
We are pleased to announce that UTHealth has developed a process for departments to request a “Visiting Professor Title” for distinguished visitors who will be on campus for a defined time (e.g., one week), providing a seminar or two or participating in medical/scientific conferences hosted by UTHealth Houston.
