Catch up on everything you missed from the inaugural Dean’s Dialogue

Dean LaTanya Love, MD, addresses the crowd at the inaugural Dean's Dialogue.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our inaugural Dean’s Dialogue. It was energizing to connect with so many of you and to hear from our leaders about where we are as a school — and where we are headed together.

These conversations matter. They help keep us informed, aligned, and engaged as a community. I appreciate your time and your continued commitment to our shared mission.

One initiative I shared that I am particularly excited about is McGovern Recharge. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is essential to sustaining the excellence we bring to our work. Taking time to rest and reconnect strengthens how we care for our patients, learners, and one another.

Whether you are traveling, spending time with family, enjoying your favorite hobby, or taking a well-earned staycation, I encourage you to share moments from your time away (external link). McGovern Recharge will be featured each month in the Scoop Newsletter, as well as across McGovern Medical School’s social media channels, as a reminder that caring for ourselves enables us to better care for others.

If you were unable to attend, or would like to revisit the discussion, a full recording of the Dean’s Dialogue (external link) is available. If you have any feedback, questions, or topics you want discussed at the next Dean’s Dialogue, please let me know (external link). Your perspectives, questions, and ideas will help shape future dialogues and ensure these conversations remain meaningful and impactful.

Thank you again for your ongoing dedication to McGovern Medical School. It is a privilege to serve alongside you, and I look forward to welcoming you to future dialogues.
