Events & Residents

The residency program is involved in much more than patient care. Events led by residents, such as semi-annual community outreach projects in collaboration with the Texas Medical Association, gives residents the opportunity to positively affect the communities in which they work. Some residents are given the opportunity to speak on radio or nationally broadcast television interview about preventive health and primary care topics. Socializing is an important part of maintaining a good work-life balance, and residents meet regularly to unwind in locales around Houston, including the occasional resident-faculty sport event.
