Biography

Dr. Stark received her medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed residency training in the Vivian L. Smith Department of Neurosurgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, where she was chief resident. During residency, she completed a master’s degree in public health at the UTHealth School of Public Health and a Council of State Neurosurgical Societies Socioeconomic Fellowship for neurosurgical residents interested in socioeconomic education.

She went on to complete a fellowship in spinal neurosurgery at the same institution. Dr. Stark is the coauthor of peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in community service. She is committed to excellence in patient care and education. Dr. Jessica R. Stark is fellowship trained in spine surgery with expertise in both spine and cranial neurosurgery. She focuses on spine trauma, degenerative conditions, and minimally invasive spine surgery.
