Fellowship Programs

The Fellowship Programs within the UTHealth Houston McGovern Medical School Department of Pediatrics provide a comprehensive learning and practice experience with exposure to multi-layered care, collaboration with a wide variety of specialists, and contact with a diverse patient population. Additionally, opportunities abound for scholarship and advanced education and training with clinical research through the Institute for Clinical Research and Learning Health Care, the Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences and others.

Competitive Advantages

In addition to its base in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, where there are more than 10M patient encounters per year, the programs’ unique location in a children’s hospital (Children’s Memorial Hermann) situated within an adult hospital (Memorial Hermann) offers fellows an opportunity to harness the expertise of adult-care providers and creates layers of care not available at an independent children’s hospital.

The program is structured for involvement from a wide range of care providers and disciplines including:

— Monthly Core Lecture Series designed exclusively for Fellows

— Level I Trauma Center

— Fetal Center with complex patients

— Community-based clinics in urban and suburban areas
