AATS Annual Meeting

The Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at the University of Texas, McGovern Medical School are currently preparing for not one, but two exciting seminar and conferences happening in late this month of April, 2018 hosted by the American Association for Thoracic Surgery.

To kick off the bi-coastal week of meetings, our team will be heading to New York City to participate at the AATS Aortic Symposium on April 26th, & 27th. This symposium is a two day event geared towards medical professionals involved with the care of individuals with aortic disease including cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons, residents, fellows, and nurses.

Our research team’s work has received attention on both the plenary and poster competition platforms. The research papers invited for the plenary presentation at this year’s AATS Aortic Symposium in New York City include:

Following the Symposium in New York City, our team jets over to San Diego, California for the 98th AATS Annual Meeting. This event will last four days where cardiothoracic surgeons from around the world will share knowledge, experience, and scientific discoveries in the format of presentations, lectures, and discussion panels surrounding the topics of general and specialized cardiac surgery, emerging technologies, congenital heart disease, critical care, thoracic surgery and aortic/endovascular surgery.
