Dr. Hashim Q. Zaidi, a Houston native from Katy, Texas, earned his undergraduate degree from Rice University before receiving his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, followed by a combined fellowship in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Tactical Medicine at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Zaidi is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and EMS. He serves as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and is the Medical Director for Harris Health EMS and the Harris Health Patient Flow Command Center (PFCC). A dedicated leader in prehospital and systems-based care, Dr. Zaidi is committed to advancing EMS through excellence in medical oversight, education, research, and quality improvement.
His professional interests include EMS operations, interfacility transport medicine, and strengthening physician engagement in out of hospital healthcare.
