Biography

Dr. Hashim Q. Zaidi, a Houston native from Katy, completed his undergraduate studies at Rice University before earning his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He then pursued residency training in Emergency Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, followed by a combined EMS and Tactical Medicine Fellowship at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Zaidi is board certified in Emergency Medicine and EMS and serves as an assistant professor of emergency medicine at UTHealth Houston. He is also the medical director of Harris Health EMS and the Harris Health Transfer Center.

Passionate about advancing prehospital care, he is a strong advocate for improved EMS education, research, and physician involvement.
