Dr. Jacqueline Okere is a hospitalist who practices at Memorial Hermann Hospital and TIRR Memorial Hermann. She is the Vice Chair for Health Outcomes and Social Medicine for her department as well as the Hospitalist Lead for Hospitalist Education.
Her areas of interest are medical education and health equity. She has created curricula and done extensive education for faculty, APPs, residents and medical students during her time with McGovern.
She is the clerkship director for the Advanced Patient Care Hospitalist Elective for 4th year medical students (APC 4111). She has won the Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award multiple times.
Dr. Okere sits on the McGovern Medical School Curriculum Committee and the McGovern Medical School Clinical Education Subcommittee as well as the TIRR Memorial Hermann Antibiotic Stewardship Committee and TIRR Memorial Hermann Executive Committee.
