Biography

Dr. Brandon O’Keefe Rafaeli, originally from Oberlin, Ohio, earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine before completing a four-year Emergency Medicine residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx, New York.

Following residency, Dr. O’Keefe served as an attending physician at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he worked in both academic and community settings. He later pursued a Medical Education Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

Dr. O’Keefe is currently an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He is also engaged in residency education as an Assistant Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at UTHealth within the Texas Medical Center.

His clinical interests include Residency Medical Education, Critical Care, Health Equity, and Quality Improvement, areas where he strives to foster excellence in both patient care and educational development.
