National Nurse Practitioner Week, observed November 9–15, recognizes the pivotal role NPs play in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. First established in 1985, the week honors the contributions of more than 385,000 NPs nationwide who continue to expand access to care and lead innovation across every specialty.
According to the latest ranking from U.S. News & World Report (external link), the Nurse Practitioner profession has earned the #1 Best Job of 2025 designation in the United States – an acknowledgement of its strong growth potential, high pay, job stability, and meaningful impact.
