Drs. Jacqueline Okere and Felisha Perry-Smith presented their workshop, “B. M&Ms! A Blueprint for a Quality Assurance Program to Nurture a Culture of Safety in a Medical Group,” at the Houston Medical Forum (HMF) Research Symposium this past weekend.

HMF, a long-standing community of Black physicians, residents, and medical students committed to health equity, mentorship, and medical excellence, brought together experts, trainees, and community leaders for a full day of research, collaboration, and meaningful dialogue.

HMF membership provides valuable opportunities for professional networking, mentorship, member spotlights, culturally relevant continuing education, leadership development, exclusive event discounts, and community engagement – a powerful way to connect, grow, and make an impact.

We are proud of the outstanding work by Drs. Okere and Perry-Smith in advancing a culture of patient safety and look forward to supporting their continued contributions to research, education, and mentorship within the EM community.
