Biography
Dr. Sharma serves as Executive Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs for the Department of Emergency Medicine and as Vice Chief of Staff for Quality at LBJ Hospital. He oversees faculty recruitment, quality and safety initiatives, clinical integration, strategic growth, contracting, and compliance across the department, while partnering with leaders at LBJ Hospital to improve patient safety, quality outcomes, and medical staff operations for UT Physicians.
His interests include patient safety, emergency department operations, healthcare innovation, and comparative effectiveness research. He is passionate about building collaborative teams that advance the academic missions of emergency medicine and developing novel approaches to improve care delivery, education, and patient outcomes.
