MERITS

MERITS (Mastering Emergency Response Interventions for TBI and SCA), is a dynamic, two-day hands-on workshop addressing prehospital care during out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). It centers on best practices for resuscitating and managing patients who suffer these most critical, time-sensitive emergencies.

We present and build on summaries of the science addressing OHCA and TBI, highlighting the links between what we find in the studies and what we do in the field.

Attendees engage in both individual and collaborative hands-on skills practice and realistic simulations that emphasize the importance of individual provider proficiencies and team choreography.
