Impact of Hurricanes on Atopic Dermatitis Outcomes in Children
This study, led by Dr. Sarah M. Nimri and Dr. Mahboobeh Mahdavinia, examines how environmental disasters influence the severity of atopic dermatitis in children. Using a retrospective design, the project evaluates clinical outcomes before and after Hurricanes Harvey and Beryl. By identifying changes in disease activity and potential environmental triggers, the study aims to inform more effective clinical management strategies for pediatric patients affected by climate-related events.
