“Stories and Statistics: Creating Culturally Competent Dentists Using Integrative Race Education in Dental Schools,” is the title of a new article by Keisha Ray, PhD. The article is part of a special issue of eJACD. In the piece, Ray discusses Experiential Race Testimonies (ERT) as a pedagogical approach to race education used previously in courses she teaches with medical students. ERT was presented first in an article in February 2021 in the Journal of Medical Humanities, entitled “Going Beyond the Data: Using Testimonies to Humanize Pedagogy on Black Health.”
