The Study | The world’s largest observational study for Huntington’s disease families - currently more than 20,000 people are taking part. By monitoring how the disease happens in people and how it changes over time in very fine detail with the same tests and assessments around the world, researchers can use the huge data and biosample collection to learn more and come up with new ways to effectively treat HD. |
Main Goals | • Enhance understanding of HD • Accelerate the development of effective treatments • Improve clinical care |
Who can participate? | • Ages 18+ • Anyone who has HD or is at-risk • Family, friends, and those who are gene negative to add to the data of the primary participant, and/or as control participants |
What is required of participants? | • Screening process to ensure eligibility • Neurological exam • Surveys and questionnaires • One-time blood sample |
Frequency of Participation | One in-person visit annually |
