A Study of Autonomic (Dysautonomia) Symptoms in People with Huntington’s Disease
| What is this study? | This study looks at autonomic symptoms in people with Huntington’s disease. The autonomic nervous system controls things like blood pressure, heart rate, digestion, sweating, and bladder function. The goal is to better understand how common these symptoms are in Huntington’s disease and how they relate to disease severity. |
| Who can participate? | • Adults 18 years and older • Clinical or genetic diagnosis of Huntington’s disease • Able to communicate and complete questionnaires |
| What is required? | Participants will complete one study visit, usually during a routine clinic appointment. During the visit: • Questionnaires about autonomic symptoms (such as dizziness, bowel or bladder symptoms, sweating) • A brief neurological exam • Blood pressure measurements while lying down and standing • Cognitive screening test No medications are given and no treatments are changed. |
