A Study of Sensory Processing in Individuals with Huntington’s Disease
| What is this study? | This study looks at how people with Huntington’s disease process sensory information, such as sound, touch, movement, vision, and smell. Changes in sensory processing may affect movement, balance, and daily functioning in Huntington’s disease. The goal of this study is to identify common sensory profiles and understand how these patterns relate to the disease. |
| Who can participate? | • Adults 20 years and older • Genetically confirmed adult-onset Huntington’s disease • Able to complete a questionnaire with or without assistance |
| What is required? | Participants will complete one sensory questionnaire about everyday sensory experiences. The questionnaire can be completed during a clinic visit or at home, on paper or electronically. Questions can be read aloud if needed. No treatments or medications are involved. |
| How long does it take? | • One visit only • About 30-45 minutes |
