In January 2026, faculty in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology extended pediatric ENT care to the Katy community through a new satellite clinic located in the Memorial Hermann Katy Medical Plaza (external link).
“This is the first expansion of our pediatric division outside the Texas Medical Center,” says Zi Yang Jiang, MD, chief of pediatric otorhinolaryngology and an associate professor at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. “We’re very pleased to welcome Dr. Nicholas Rossi, the newest member of our pediatric team, who will staff the clinic along with other members of our division. Providing high-level ENT expertise to the children of Katy and surrounding areas will be a team effort.”
Dr. Rossi earned his medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he also completed residency training. He went on to fellowship training in pediatric otolaryngology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to Dr. Rossi and Dr. Jiang, Sancak Yuksel, MD, associate professor in the department; Zhen “Jane” Huang, MD, MBA, associate professor; and Shiva Daram, MD, MBA, an assistant professor, will see patients at the Katy clinic, which is equipped with six exam rooms and two audiology booths for hearing testing.
“We’re very happy to have recruited a well-trained pediatric otolaryngologist who believes in our mission of medical discovery and advancing best practices in clinical care,” Dr. Jiang says.
