BD2: Breakthrough Discoveries for Thriving with Bipolar Disorder
BD2 is a multisite collaboration with several other imminent institutions across the US aiming to study Bipolar type I Disorder in adults ages 18 to 80 years. This research study is designed to fill gaps in our understanding of bipolar type I disorder, and involves collecting information from participants to answer key questions that might help change or improve the way we do treat bipolar disorder in the future. Participants take part in an annual study visit for five years which include blood collection, MRIs, tests of neurocognitive functioning, mood state assessments, and more as the largest and most comprehensive study ever conducted in bipolar I disorder.
