Stem Cells in Treatment-Resistant Bipolar Depression
The purpose of this placebo-controlled study is to test the use of one infusion of Stem Cells as a treatment for Bipolar Depression in addition to a mood stabilizing medication in adults ages 18 to 65 years. The Stem Cells used for this study are a specific type obtained from donated bone marrow and are used as a treatment for other medical conditions. Eligible participants will receive two MRI scans, clinical evaluation, and complete 15 study visits over the course of 26 weeks. You will be compensated for study visits with payment at each visit, totaling $650, even if you do not complete the entire study.
