Dr. Cihan Duran is a Professor of Radiology at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). With over 90 peer-reviewed publications and more than 100 abstracts presented at national and international conferences, Dr. Duran is an accomplished researcher and educator in the field of radiology, specializing in cardiothoracic and body imaging. She has extensive clinical and research expertise.
She has held multiple academic and leadership positions, including Program Director of the Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship at UTHealth Houston, Vice Chair for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and founder of the Departmental Women in Radiology Committee.
Recognized for his contributions to medical education, Dr. Duran has received several teaching and leadership awards, including the McGovern Medical School Dean’s Teaching Excellence Awards and the Outstanding Faculty Leadership Awards.
Dr. Duran continues to mentor the next generation of radiologists and is a prominent figure in promoting diversity and inclusion within the field of radiology. Her commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and research is reflected in her ongoing contributions to the radiology community.
