The musculoskeletal section provides interpretive services on musculoskeletal-related computerized tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound (US), and radiographic examinations for The University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston clinics, UT Physicians Orthopedics-Katy, UT Physicians Orthopedics-Memorial Villages, UT Physicians Orthopedics-Bellaire, UT Physicians Orthopedics-Pearland, Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, Memorial Herman Rockets Orthopedic Hospital, Memorial Hermann-Bellaire Station, and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital and its affiliated clinics. Imaging services provided by our team of physicians include advanced imaging of musculoskeletal-related sports injuries, trauma, tumors, arthritis, infection, and neuropathy, and we perform direct physician-supervised diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Our team also provides a wide array of musculoskeletal therapeutic and diagnostic injections and aspirations at Memorial Hermann-TMC, MHROH, UT Physicians Orthopedics–Katy, UT Physicians Orthopedics-Memorial Villages, and UT Physicians Orthopedics- Bellaire. We perform interventions on joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, bursa, cysts, and nerves throughout the upper and lower extremities using CT, US, and/or fluoroscopic guidance. Our therapeutic agents include the use of steroids, platelet-rich- plasma (PRP), sclerotherapy/prolotherapy, and viscosupplementation. Extremity biopsy services are provided at MHROH in Bellaire. Yakima Brown, PA-CYakima Brown is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a diverse background in diagnostic radiology, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, and physical rehabilitation. Before becoming a Physician Assistant, Yakima practiced as an Occupational Therapist, specializing in hand and upper extremity, general orthopedic and cognitive rehabilitation.
Yakima's broad clinical background allows her to provide comprehensive, compassionate, patient-centered care to both adult and pediatric patients. Her multidisciplinary training and experience span the full continuum of musculoskeletal care—from injury prevention and diagnosis to image-guided procedures, surgical assistance, rehabilitation and recovery. She is passionate about helping patients manage pain, improve function, and return to the activities they enjoy through individualized, evidence-based care.

Crystal Juarez, PA-CCrystal Juarez is a certified Physician Assistant born and raised in the Houston area. She is passionate about providing empathetic, patient-centered care. Outside of work, Crystal loves reading, exploring local coffee shops, and taking long walks with her dog. As a lifelong Houstonian, she values community, family, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Rachel Lukose, PA-CRachel Lukose is a board-certified Physician Assistant who specializes in musculoskeletal radiology procedures, seeing orthopedic and sports medicine patients in both UTHealth and Memorial Hermann outpatient clinics. She enjoys seeing patients and having meaningful conversations with them during their visit. She also appreciates the collaborative nature of her work, aiding in the overall care for her patients. Rachel focuses on listening to her patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their whole procedure process. She continues to promote patient education in her department by creating informational brochures and creating patient education videos on the musculoskeletal radiology website.
Rachel was born and raised in Massachusetts, and moved to Houston in 2022. She is a proud New England Patriots fan. Outside of clinical work, she enjoys dancing and has performed at NBA Halftime Shows, as well as trying out new restaurants around the Houston area.
