The musculoskeletal Section provides interpretive services on musculoskeletal-related computerized tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound (US), and radiographic examinations for The University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston clinics, Memorial Hermann-TMC campus, Memorial Hermann Rockets Orthopedic Hospital (MHROH), and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital and its affiliated clinics. Imaging services provided by our team of physicians include advanced imaging of musculoskeletal-related sports injuries, trauma, tumors, arthritis, infection, and neuropathy, and we perform direct physician-supervised diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Our team also provides a wide array of musculoskeletal therapeutic and diagnostic injections and aspirations at Memorial Hermann-TMC, MHROH, UT Physicians Orthopedics–Katy, UT Physicians Orthopedics-Memorial Villages, and UT Physicians Orthopedics- Bellaire. We perform interventions on joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, bursa, cysts, and nerves throughout the upper and lower extremities using CT, US, and/or fluoroscopic guidance. Our therapeutic agents include the use of steroids, platelet-rich- plasma (PRP), sclerotherapy/prolotherapy, and viscosupplementation. Extremity biopsy services are provided at MHROH in Bellaire. If you want to inquire about imaging or procedural consultation, contact our UT Radiology Concierge Team at 713-500-XRAY (9729).
Our team is actively engaged, training the next generation of musculoskeletal health professionals. We welcome trainees from all backgrounds to shadow our practice, and we regularly host medical students as well as non-radiology residents and fellows for shadowing rotations. If you are interested in a shadowing opportunity, please contact Vikram Vijayarajan at 713- 500-7980.
