Biography

Dr. Patel is a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist and the Program Director for the IR/DR Residency Program. He grew up in Kansas City, and earned his medical degree from the accelerated 6 year MD program at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. He completed his residency and fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

He is dedicated to improving his patients’ quality of life by utilizing minimally invasive forms of treatment. Dr. Patel’s expertise encompasses all areas of interventional radiology, and he has a specific interest in localized cancer therapy including Y90 radioembolization, chemoembolization, and ablation, along with complex hepatobiliary interventions, uterine fibroid embolization, prostate artery embolization, IVC filter retrievals, and limb salvage through the treatment of peripheral arterial disease.

He is an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, and the Radiology Society of North America.

In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife and their goldendoodle, playing golf, traveling, and watching his favorite sports team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
