The fellowship in Body MRI is designed to provide advanced training in magnetic resonance imaging of musculoskeletal, body, vascular, fetal, and cardiac applications.
Length of program
Twelve months with potential for elective time and research.
The successful candidate must have American Board of Radiology eligibility or certification, USA citizenship, J1 visa or a permanent resident visa, and be able to obtain a Texas Medical License.

The fellowship provides up to 12 months of dedicated rotation in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging section. The patient population includes high-risk obstetric patients, cardiac, trauma, renal, and liver transplant patients, as well as general medical, surgical, and pediatric patients.
Facilities, faculty, and equipment
Facilities include the Radiology departments at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center (TMC), a 600-bed tertiary care center with level I trauma; the Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, a 300-bed primary care center; and several outpatient imaging centers. These institutions are the primary teaching hospitals for McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. There are dedicated faculty members in the Imaging sections, all of whom are fellowship trained and have extensive skills and experience in their subspecialty areas. The facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including:
Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center (MH-TMC): Three 1.5 T GE and 1.5 T Philips magnets. One of the GE and Philips units is equipped with cardiac MRI capability.
