Biography
Dr. McCarthy previously served as the Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine before taking his current role as Chief Executive Physician of the Memorial Hermann Health System. He joined the UT faculty in 2001 after completing his residency in emergency medicine, and not long after became the medical director of the emergency center at Memorial Hermann Hospital-TMC until May of 2013.
