The UTHealth Houston Emergency Medicine’s MSTU is honored to be partnering with the Humble Fire Department’s EMS (HFDEMS) Professionals.
On Tuesday, September 12th, approximately (15) dedicated HFDEMS members joined with the MSTU team for a comprehensive, high-fidelity training session facilitated by the Memorial Hermann Health System. The hand-on skills training centered around the optimal prehospital treatment of patients with sepsis and patients in cardiac arrest. The collaboration between the UTHealth Houston MSTU and HFDEMS received praise from the Battalion Chief XX NAME, who commented:
“This was perfect for our members and the MSTU high-fidelity simulation capabilities surpassed our expectations and helped us achieve our goal of continuing to enhance our ability to care for the most critical patients of all types.” and added, “It’s exactly what we wanted!”
HFDEMS is planning ongoing emergency care training with the MSTU, next to focus on Pediatric emergency care. Stay tuned!
