Our EM Faculty & Residents had an awesome experience at this year’s ACEP Scientific Assembly in Philadelphia!
The event was filled with learning, recognition, and camaraderie, making it a memorable occasion for our esteemed team.
We are thrilled to announce that EM’s Salil Bhandari, MD was honored with the prestigious ACEP Scientific Assembly Rookie Speaker of the Year Award. This award is presented to the speaker who receives the highest performance ratings among first-time speakers from the previous year’s assembly. Dr. Bhandari’s commitment and proficiency are truly commendable, and his recognition is well-deserved!
Dr. Ben Cooper delivered an enlightening lecture at the assembly on Cardiovascular Disorders and Identifying AMI (Acute Myocardial Infarction) in Atypical ECGs that received high praises. Some of our talented Residents also had the opportunity to shine at the assembly, where they delivered presentations that showcased their dedication and continuous research in the field of emergency medicine. Their contributions are a testament to the excellence we uphold in our program.
Amidst the busy schedule of the assembly, our department hosted its annual UTHealth Houston ACEP Dinner at SPIN-Philly. It was a fun filled evening located in the heart of the city complete with tasty eats, ping pong, and of course some good ole’ fashioned team building.
Thank you to everyone who made this year’s assembly a resounding success! We are eagerly looking forward to next year’s assembly, where we will continue to learn, grow, and excel in the field of emergency medicine.
