As a California native, Dr. Ju made her way home to complete a medical education fellowship at University of California, San Francisco after doing her medical training at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies followed by her Emergency Medicine residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey.
Dr. Ju joined the Department of Emergency Medicine at UTHealth Houston in 2023. She is the Co-Director of Undergraduate Medical Education and the Course Director for fourth year student clerkships. She is also the Clinical Director of Team Based Learning and the Emergency Medicine Lead Clinical Advisor for McGovern Medical School.
Growing up in a family owned Chinese restaurant with a chef for a father, Dr. Ju loves everything about food, especially eating it. She enjoys traveling, hiking and scuba diving, and on her days off she spends as much time as she can with her family.
She is passionate about medical student and resident education, clinical and procedural teaching, simulation, presentation design and lecturing, feedback and assessment, and mentorship.
