Celebrating the Promotion of Drs. Shabana Walia & Jessica Wilson to Associate Professor

We are proud to announce that EM Faculty members, Shabana Walia, MD, MPH and Jessica Wilson, MD have been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, effective September 1st.

As the Clinical Medical Director for the HEROES (Houston Emergency Opioid Management System) program, Dr. Walia focuses on providing sustainable healthcare in underserved countries, international clinical emergency response, and promoting wellness and community service among residents and faculty.

Dr. Wilson serves as the Assistant Residency Program Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Assistant Director of Medical Simulation at McGovern Medical School. She plays a crucial role in our educational simulation events and in teaching EM residents and medical students.

We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and congratulate them on this well-deserved promotion!
