Dr. Mandy Hill Awarded $727K NIMH Grant for Groundbreaking Research

We are excited to announce that Mandy Hill, DrPH, MPH, professor and director of Population Health in the Department of Emergency Medicine, has been awarded a $727,000 R34 grant from the National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH)! This grant follows her successful pilot program as a Ujima Program Scholar. Dr. Hill’s innovative research will continue to address health disparities, particularly in HIV-related healthcare.

Sandra Coker, MD, a faculty member in our department and former McGovern student, will join Dr. Hill as a co-investigator on this important research, alongside collaborators from UTHealth and Johns Hopkins. We are incredibly proud of their contributions and look forward to seeing the continued impact of their work.
