Biography

Krista Mattern is a dedicated Hospitalist Physician Assistant with a strong background in molecular cellular biology and medical practice. As a first-generation college student, she achieved academic excellence by graduating Cum Laude from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Cellular Biology.

Motivated by a passion for healthcare, she further pursued a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Emory & Henry University in Marion, Virginia, where she honed her clinical skills and deepened her medical knowledge.

She currently serves as a Hospitalist APP within the UTHealth Houston Hospitalist division and has specialist interest in Geriatric Trauma Medicine.
