Biography

Dr. Shreyans Sanghvi is an emergency medicine physician with a strong focus on education, innovation, and end-of-life (EOL) care. His work aims to enhance the quality and value of care at the intersection of palliative care and emergency medicine.

During his emergency medicine training at Northwell Health, Dr. Sanghvi served as Chief Resident of Education, leading educational initiatives and developing curricula such as the Breaking Bad News simulation. His dedication to improving EOL care also extends to his role as a podcast host, where he explores emerging innovations in the field.

Inspired by these experiences, Dr. Sanghvi conceptualized My Health Code (MHC), a digital shared-decision making platform designed to facilitate goals-of-care discussions in the emergency department. Since joining UTHealth in 2022, he has led the advancement of this project by assembling a multidisciplinary team, securing institutional support across multiple systems, and obtaining grant funding and leadership training sponsorship.

Dr. Sanghvi currently serves on the Memorial Hermann End of Life Task Force, where he contributes to system-wide initiatives aimed at improving EOL care. With a long-term goal of becoming a national leader in emergency medicine, he is committed to developing innovative, evidence-based tools to advance value-based care models.
