Drs. Ju & Jamshad Lead Bedside Ultrasound: FAST Skills Session

A special thank you to Undergraduate Medical Co-Director (UME) and Assistant Professor, Christine Ju, MD and Med Ed Fellow, Sadia Jamshad, MD for leading today’s Bedside Ultrasound: FAST skills session last Friday.

This hands-on training provided students with valuable experience in Focused Assessment using Sonography in Trauma (FAST), enhancing their bedside ultrasound skills under expert guidance.

In addition, a group of visiting high school students had the opportunity to observe and learn basic ultrasound techniques, offering them an introduction to the field and hopefully inspiring future healthcare professionals. We also extend our gratitude to the McGovern students who volunteered their time to teach. Your dedication and mentorship are instrumental in shaping the next generation of medical professionals.

These events are always a tremendous success and huge thanks to our EM faculty, fellows, and McGovern students for making this hands-on learning experience possible and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals!
