Mobile Simulation Training Unit (MSTU) Joins C.A.S.E.Y. Fire/EMS Cadets for “Battle of the Ops” Training Day

The Department of Emergency Medicine’s Mobile Simulation Training Unit (MSTU) rolled in for this year’s “C.A.S.E.Y. Battle of the Ops,” delivering hands-on, scenario-based training to high school students and EMS cadets from the CASEY Fire/EMS Program.

C.A.S.E.Y. (Center for Advanced Safety and Emergency Youth) is a workforce development initiative designed to prepare high school students for careers in emergency medical services and public safety.

Through classroom learning and field experiences, students gain foundational skills in EMS, firefighting, and emergency response.

Led by Renee Johnson, MD, MPH and Byron “Tony” Harrison, Sr., Lic-P, MEd, BS, EMS-C, our simulation team engaged participants in real-time trauma and critical care scenarios, helping them practice quick thinking, teamwork, and clinical decision-making in a high-pressure environment.
