Alumni Spotlight: Beyond the Bedside & Behind the Piano
UTH-EM Supports Alumni Resident Dr. Timothy George at Houston Methodist Crane Garden Recital
Our program was proud to attend & support alumni resident Dr. Timothy George during his recent recital at Houston Methodist as part of the Crain Garden Performance Series (external link).
The afternoon featured a collection of musical performances that brought together colleagues, friends, and members of the medical community in a setting that highlighted the connection between medicine and the arts.
Hosted through Houston Methodist’s Center for Performing Arts Medicine (external link), the series is designed to create moments of reflection, healing, and community through live music performances.

Faculty, residents, and staff enjoyed the opportunity to gather in support of Dr. George and celebrate his continued involvement in both medicine and music.
Playing with Purpose at Doctors in Recital
Earlier this month, Dr. George was recognized as a featured performer at the annual Doctors in Recital (external link) benefit concert, held in support of Camp PHEver, a program serving children with phenylketonuria (PKU).
The event brought together physician-musicians from across TMC and raised funds to support Camp PHEver, which provides educational resources, social support, and immersive camp experiences for children living with this rare metabolic disorder.
