Community Outreach & Readiness via Education: Hands-Only CPR & AED Training
Caring for our communities is at the CORE of what we do!

The UTH EM CORE program focuses on empowering our communities and equipping them with knowledge about a variety of emergency preparedness topics. The current primary focus lies in CPR and AED training, with a goal to improve bystander CPR and AED use in neighborhoods with historically low rates-many of which are also in lower-socioeconomic areas and are at higher risk for poor health outcomes.

There is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a meaningful community outreach project – UTH CORE: University of Texas Houston Community Outreach & Readiness via Education.

The goal of UTH CORE is to improve bystander CPR and AED use in neighborhoods with historically low rates, many of which are also in lower socioeconomic areas and face higher risk factors for poor outcomes.
Through partnerships with the YMCA of Greater Houston and the City of Houston, we will be visiting community sites to provide hands-only CPR and AED training to community members.
