EM 2 Rotations
Advancing Clinical Expertise: Your Second Year
Building on foundational skills with increased responsibility and critical decision-making.
In the EM-2 year, residents expand their clinical experience with more autonomy and responsibility.
Rotations continue at Memorial Hermann TMC and LBJ General Hospital, offering exposure to complex emergency cases, critical care, pediatrics, and procedural mastery.
This year emphasizes leadership, supervision, and advanced patient management, preparing residents to step confidently into senior roles. Residents also engage in specialty rotations, simulation labs, and hands-on skill-building sessions to refine their decision-making and emergency care expertise.
