Getting Started
Our fellowship provides a rigorous and diverse training experience, exposing fellows to a wide range of clinical environments — from a bustling academic medical center to high-acuity community hospitals.
- Primary Training Site: Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in the TMC is home to a leading pediatric emergency department and nationally recognized Level I trauma center. Fellows manage complex, high-volume cases and work alongside expert faculty in emergency medicine, pediatrics, and trauma care.
- Community Experience: At Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital (LBJ), fellows care for Houston’s underserved and diverse populations, honing skills in resourceful, patient-centered, and equitable care. Additional rotations at Memorial Hermann–Katy and other community sites further strengthen adaptability and clinical breadth.
Together, these experiences prepare fellows to thrive in any setting — whether academic, urban, or community-based.
We welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in pediatrics or emergency medicine and review each applicant holistically. Selection is made without discrimination on the basis of sex, race, religion, nationality, disability, or veteran status.
