Nathan Carlin’s latest book to be released this month

Contemporary Physician-Authors: Exploring the Insights of Doctors Who Write is an edited book from Center director and professor, Nathan Carlin, PhD. The book examines the phenomenon of physician-authors and focuses on doctors who write and the stories they tell. The book chapters were written by medical humanities scholars who explored selected physician-authors, including Perri Klass, Abraham Verghese, Atul Gawande, and Danielle Ofri to name a few. The book is part of the Routledge Advances in the Medical Humanities series and will be released on November 24, 2021.
