Keisha Ray, PhD, recently published an editorial online in The American Journal of Bioethics. In “We Are Not Okay: Moral Injury and a World on Fire,” Ray discusses that moral injury “looks beyond the self” and “gives a name to a feeling” that she has had lately, amid tragedy and destruction experienced across the world. Ray shares about finding comfort in the origins of moral injury, referencing the work of Talbot and Dean (2018) who call out a broken system rather than broken individuals.
