Grand Rounds

Grand Rounds are a series of student and resident lectures that present the symptoms, diagnosis, and management of a particular disease in the pediatric (and adult) population.

Journal Club

Each month the Division hosts a Child Neurology Journal Club from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to discuss various articles. This is primarily a resident-run conference with ideally three to four articles reviewed by the trainees. Faculty, residents, and students participate in the Journal Club by presenting and discussing current clinical, translational, and basic science journal articles relevant to pediatric neurology. Resident Weekly Educational Conference

Every Tuesday and Thursday, the residents attend conferences to review various topics in Child Neurology. In a joint effort, program leadership and the Chief Resident(s) develop a schedule for the academic year. On Mondays and Wednesdays, the residents attend conferences to review various topics in Adult and General Neurology. The lectures cover a multitude of topics, including preparation for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Board Examination and the annual RITE Exam, as well as various other topics related to the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of neurological conditions in Child Neurology aimed at increasing the residents’ fund of knowledge.

Adult and Child Neurology Resident Educational Conference

Formal, structured didactic teaching is provided to Child and Adult Neurology Residents from noon to 2 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday. The curriculum is scheduled over the academic year:
