Deep Learning Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications in MRI

October 2, 2019

Our faculty has been successful in publishing two journal articles regarding deep learning artificial intelligence (AI) applications in MRI. Dr. Refaat Gabr, one of the investigators, explains the research, “The first application uses AI to automatically assess the quality of structural brain MRI images. In the second application we use AI to classify brain tissue and detect lesions in patients with multiple sclerosis”.

The work on quality assessment will appear in the October 2019 issue  (volume 50 issue 4) of Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
