PET/CT Imaging Mini-Fellowship with hands-on training

The PET /CT Hands-on-Training will teach the skills required for scan preparations, protocol selection, performance of study, quality control, and interpretation. The candidate will be able to review and manipulate the studies at the work station. One-on-one mentoring is a unique feature of this training program. Most studies interpreted will have correlative reports available. The course will help to fulfill the necessary requirements for State of Texas Certification. Studies include variable PET scans, including FDG for adult and pediatric oncology, neurologic FDG imaging, PET imaging for prostate cancer and PET for neuroendocrine tumor. No CME credit is given for this program.

Length of program: 2 days

Mentors: Three experienced Nuclear Medicine Physicians

Location: Nuclear Medicine, Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center.

Training includes: Introductory lecture on the basics of PET Imaging. Approximately 70 mentored cases on oncology and neurology reviewed in 2 days. Hands-on-training and one-on-one mentoring.

Dates: Flexible schedule

Working hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Cost: $3,500.00

Method of payment: Personal check, money order or certified check submitted upon acceptance of the candidate to attend the training program.

Cancellation policy: One-week advance notice. There will be a $300 nonrefundable administrative fee for all cancellations.
